The University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Department of Chemistry’s Stores has decided to move from their current Accpac Financial System and their custom Inventory MS Access Database to the University’s PeopleSoft Enterprise System for inventory and purchasing. By moving to PeopleSoft, the Department of Chemistry will implement the Inventory and Purchasing modules. These modules will integrate into the existing modules already implemented at UBC, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
The project will start February 2011 and UBC has sourced the overall Project Management, Functional and Technical oversight to Creative Netcom who will oversee the complete project as well as UBC’s IT resources and work with the Department of Chemistry Stores to review existing Business Processes and configure the modules in PeopleSoft.
